Symptoms


When trying to add items to a sales order line the following error occurs:

Failed to resolve incompatibility between price lists (item number) Duplicate Price List Lines (i.e. equal precedence)


Problem started after sales department ran a request to update price list lines based on a new market price using a custom procedure of which public API
QP_PRICE_LIST_PUB.process_price_list was called to update price list lines.  This request completed with error showing duplicate price list lines.

Has reviewed details as provided on Document 362711.1 - Effective Precedence and Incompatibility Resolution in Pricing Results in Error Duplicate Price List

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
   1. Responsibility: Order Management Super User
   2. Navigate to: Orders, Returns
   3. Enter a new sales order line for one item of which this error pertained.
       --The aforementioned error is shown.
