How Does one end an Element Entry That Does not End-Date After De-Enrolling or by Manually Attempting to Delete the Element?

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When an employee selects to decline coverage during open enrollment, the element does not end-date. Manually attempting to end date the element results in the following error:
APP-BEN-93109: You are attempting to modify an element entry which is attached to a standard rate.
