New AMEX CAPN Compliance Requirements For Oracle Payments/FDC (Doc ID 434110.1)

Symptoms

The following are two new credit card data requirements need to be implemented in Oracle Payments (for FDC) at
the earliest.

1. AMEX has a new requirement for more data to be passed to them that as part of their CAPN
compliance initiative. CAPN Release 2 compliance deadline to August 31, 2007. Items detailed
below will need to be sent for authorization and settlement to support the new AMEX CAPN changes
made to the ISO 8583 specification Dated 3/1/2006 release version ISO-LL-S1-0002-6.1:

-- Add new table 14 for AMEX transactions only
-- Table 14 will consist of Tran ID and AMEX Point of Service Code.
-- Note: the Tran ID and AMEX Point of Service Code will be used in settlement.
-- The following changes have been made to the PTS settlement specification dated 3/3/2006 release version 2006.1 changes for AMEX CAPN effective April 7, 2006

2. Need to pass S record for all Master Card transactions as per new Master Card requirements

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the above 2 data requirements to be met and information passed to backend payment system.

BUSINESS IMPACT
The issue has the following business impact:
Without these features implemented, Merchant cannot use AMEX cards after August 31st deadline.
