This note was created to list the answers to some of the common questions around the forms servlet architecture.

1) How do decide whether to use the forms socket server or the forms servlet?

2) Why does the URL http://machine.domain/dev60cgi/f60cgi still work under servlet

3) Is there a way to totally stop the direct connections from dev60cgi/f60cgi

4) How can we make sure we segregate the traffic and direct them to the right servers/listeners?

5) Where exactly can I get a confirmation it is using the servlets only and not forms?

6) Can the Form Servlet technology only be HTTP and not socket?

7) I am thinking next to have the JVM's load balanced too. As of now I have 2 JVM's for OACoreGroup, FormsGroup, XmlSvcsGrp and 1 for DiscoGroup.

8) Are there any special considerations for a H/W loadbalanced 2-node apps tier e-business suite environment without SSL accelerator in such cases?
