Goal

In Oracle Receivables Finance Charge is calculated based on days past due.  So if you are not using Finance Charge right form the beginning of the implementation and then at a later stage decide to implement Finance Charge for past due invoices, the first time you run Finance Charge calculation the customers can be hit with a large finance charge if the invoice is long past due.

You would like to be able to turn this on and have it begin charging interest from a specific date or the beginning of  the next open period.  You want to first notify your customers about charging interest on past due invoices.
