Goal

This document should be used when an OC4J application such as oacore, oafm and forms is being killed or shut down unexpectedly.

In some circumstances it is very difficult to capture a thread dump just before the process is killed or dies. If this happens then follow this note to force any stop (handled or unhandled) of an OC4J application to create a thread dump.

The thread dump created can be very useful in debugging failures

This note is specific to R12 E-business suite and contains steps that require direct updates to opmn.xml.   Please backup the opmn.xml before any changes are made. Replace the original opmn.xml in the case that problems are encountered.
