This is for Japan FY2007 Tax Reform.

New tax reforms have been implemented in Japan with an effective date of 1st April 2007.  These reforms significantly impact the methods used for depreciation of assets in Japan and provide new guidelines on calculation and treatment of depreciation for assets.

There are 3 phased patches for this reform.

-Availability of the 2 new depreciation methods for assets acquired on or after 1st April 2007:
--New STL method
--New 250% Declining Balance method
Phase2 11.5.8 or later release TBD Japanese Depreciable Assets Tax Reporting
Phase3 11.5.8 or later release End of November, 2007 (Planned) -Extended depreciation feature for fully reserved assets which were acquired before 31st March 2007
