Password Synchronization Problem From E-business To OID (Doc ID 461896.1)

Symptoms

On 11.5.10.2 in Production:
After integrating eBiz with SSO, when a user is prompted to change their password when logging into
eBiz locally (AppsChangePassword.jsp), this password change is not propogated to OID

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the password to get propogated to OID so passwords remain syncronized

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into System Administrator--> User--Define, Call up a user and change password.

At this stage, OID will be updated with this new password for the user


2. Login to AppsLogin URL using the new password (this works) then logout
3. Login to AppsLocalLogin.jsp as this user with the new password. This works, but redirects
to AppsChangePassword.jsp to change the password

This password change is NOT propagated to OID so the passwords are now out of sync

Due to this issue, users passwords are not syncronized between OID and eBusiness.  This results in them having one password when accessing eBusiness via SSO and a different password when using the AppsLocalLogin.jsp URL to access eBusiness

Changes

This note is only relevant if the profile option "Applications SSO Login Types" is set to "BOTH" for the affected users
