Reservation Time Fence Does Not Use Organization Working Day Calendar (Doc ID 467775.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5.10 to 12.1]
Oracle Order Management - Version 12.2.4 to 12.2.4 [Release 12.2]

Goal

Auto-scheduling has been turned on, so when a user enters an order, the item qty is reserved when available.

"OM: Reservation Time Fence" profile has been set to 2. This is so because the business only wants orders from TODAY & TOMORROW to be reserved as they are entering the order. Please note the "Reserve Orders Program" runs daily to reserve "future" (3 days or later) orders.

If the order was entered last Friday (9-Nov) with request the following scheduled ship date:
Ship-Date: 09-Nov (Fri) --> qty is reserved
Ship-Date: 10-Nov (Sat) --> qty is reserved
Ship-Date: 11-Nov (Sun) --> qty is NOT reserved
Ship-Date: 12-Nov (Mon) --> qty is NOT reserved

You are expecting that since workday calendar has been setup and Weekends have been set as "OFF
DAYS", then qtys should NOT be reserved on 10/12-Nov (Sat & Sun). And that 12-Nov (Mon) should
have had the qtys reserved.

Is this the correct system behavior?
