The SFM Controller Service Writes Frequent Core Dump Files (Doc ID 467886.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Service Fulfillment Manager - Version 11.5.9 to 11.5.10 [Release 11.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After applying several patches find that core dumps are being found in $APPLCSF/log with name like:

./core.XDPCTRLS.29257.ap1snx51.1002.102.1193563841

These are filling all the file system space and need to be deleted to prevent the space from filling up and blocking system processes.

Another possible symptom is the SFM Controller Service will not start.

Changes

Applied patches, most likely those effecting the tech stack, but that was not been confirmed.
