Symptoms

When updating a customer address in Customers form, the following error is raised:

Error: Update of this column is not allowed because Printed, Posted, or Applied Transaction(s) exists for one of the sites for this address. Please requery the address to undo the changes and then create a new address.

Steps to reproduce

Responsibility: Receivables Manager
Navigation: Customers > Customers

  1. Query an existing customer.
  2. Click on the Address Details icon.
  3. Update the address including postal code.
  4. Press Save. The error appears.
