Why Does Transaction History In Install Base Show 'Pending' Status Instead of 'Complete'? (Doc ID 550067.1)

Goal

In Install base certain types of transactions have transaction_status_code in table csi_transactions as 'PENDING' instead of 'COMPLETE'.

The transaction types may be for example, Order Management -Ship/Fulfill (transaction_type_id 51) and RMA Receipt (transaction_type_id 53) or even WIP Assembly Completion.

Q1. What is the mean of the 'PENDING' status.
Q2. What transaction or concurrent process is supposed to move the status from 'PENDING' to 'COMPLETE'.
