We have new starters added to the system and we use the SPP1L form to record last SSP absence in
old job.
However, when the employee goes off sick for a week within 8 weeks of this SPP1L form date, the
system is recalculating 3 waiting days - is this correct functionality?

We thought that the absences should link via this SPP1L form and the employee would have NO
waiting days for the new absence and get paid SSP from day 1 of this absence.

We need clarification of what that SPP1L form is supposed to do as it seems to take into account the
number of SSP weeks entered on the form and will not pay more than 28 in total...
But this linking and creating 3 more waiting days seems to not be doing what we would expect.
