APP-FND-0676 Error when Trying to Update Serial Attribute whilst using Miscellaneous Receipts (Doc ID 554663.1)

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
When attempting to receive serialized products through Miscellaneous Receipt from Oracle Forms,
the form is erroring and not letting any serial attribute assignment. The following error occurs:

ERROR:
APP-FND-0676 The flexfield routine FDFGDC can not read the default reference field specified for
this descriptive flexfield.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Go to miscellaneous transactions > perform misc receipt of serialized products > serial attributes flexfield will be enabled > click on the DFF to assign values to serial attributes > the form  generates exception as per the screen shot attached.
  2. The same is working well in MSCA screen.
