How To Clear Install Location With Open Interface on Existing Customer Product Instance (Doc ID 554979.1)

There is a need to change ownership to 'Internal' and Install Location to be cleared for an existing Customer Product Instance.  When there is no value populated in the location_type_code and location_id fields of the CSI_INSTANCE_INTERFACE table these values are just ignored by the Open Interface program and the values of the Customer Product Instance are left unchanged. 

What can be used to make the Interface program see this as an update to Null?
