Rate Line Based On "Shipment Cost Payment Method" Gets Ignored (Doc ID 556284.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 5.5.3
This problem can occur on any platform.

If a rate record contains a cost line that has the "Shipment cost payment method" as a basis, and it is used for building shipments, the line based on the "Shipment cost payment method" is ignored and the cost does not get applied to the shipment. Even if a shipment is manually updated with the corresponding payment method, and a recalc done, the cost doesn't get applied.

Expected result: OTM applies the rate cost line defined in the rate record.
Effective result: OTM does not consider any rate record cost cointaining the "Shipment cost payment method" as a basis criterion

Something similar to this can be found in the logs:

2008-01-11 07:19:54.779 119142 Debug OrderBundling BaseOrderBundle::setTemps - tOrder:
CPAMP.6657387_TEST01 [batch - 1]
2008-01-11 07:19:54.779 119142 Debug OrderBundling TOrderBundle::createBundle - contains
PAYMENT_RULE. OrdReleasePK = CPAMP.6657387_TEST01 [batch - 1]
2008-01-11 07:19:54.779 119142 Debug OrderBundling BaseOrderBundle.setPaymentMethodGid(): Setting
bundlePaymentMethodGid to <CPAMP.PO> [batch - 1]

So the system does find the payment method. It also applies the correct rate. But the cost is not

-- Business Impact:
