All HRMS Navigations Fail with "Your session is no longer valid." Message

Information in this document applies to any platform.
While applying an R12 - HRGLOBAL patch, users attempting to operate within the HRMS Navigators,
(both the Professional User Interface (PUI) and Self-Service (SS)) the user receives a new Page:
from the homepage
Select forms responsibility
Global Super HRMS Manager
Then function: People enter and maintain
receive error at the following
<PRE> Your session is no longer valid. </PRE>
Note: the page is not the standard session is no longer valid page.
Its just blank with the above text only
Note: The same problem occurs for ANY HRMS function whether it be a web framework function or a
core forms function. The issue only happens when launching from the homepage. For example to work
around the forms issue one could select sysadmin from the homepage and launch a sysadmin form
function, then switch responsibility to a HRMS form and work without error
