Task Skills Not Copied When Creating Recurrences Or Copying Task With Template (Doc ID 560694.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Field Service - Version 12.0.3 to 12.0.3 [Release 12]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
FORM:CSXSRISR.FMB - Create Service Requests
FORM:CSFDCMAI.FMB - Dispatch Center

Task skills are not copied when copying a task or when creating recurrences. The copied or recurrent tasks do not have skills assigned, whereas the original tasks do have the skills that belong to the template.

The expectation  is when tasks are copied, that the skills of the original task are also available in the new task.

Steps To Reproduce:

1. Use the responsibility for Field Service Manager.
Create a Service Request with a task with skill assigned.

2. Copy Task or make Recurrences on the tasks.
To copy a task click on the copy task button.
To enter a recurrence click on the more button and then on the Recurrences tab.

3. Check the assigned skills on the tasks afterwards.
Go to Field Service Dispatch Center.
Query the tasks that are copied and check the skills tab. The copied tasks do not have skills assigned.

4. It works the same when the recurrence is created directly in the tasks form (Field Service Dispatcher/NAV Task Management).
The copied tasks do not have skills assigned.
