Origination Date, Expiration Date, Hold Date Are Not Calculated When Lot Created from Pending Product Lots (Doc ID 560803.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 12.0.0 to 12.1.2 [Release 12 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Create pending batch with a Manual Yield product. Ensure that there is a default Yield Subinventory set up for the item on the Organization Items form, Process Manufacturing tab.  The item should be lot controlled, and have the Lot Expiration Control set to Shelf Life Days and shelf life and hold days entered.

Enter pending product lot info. Lot record is created without origination, expiration, or hold dates, as expected since inventory has not yet been yielded.

Release the batch. Click on Transactions and transact the lot that had been entered on Pending Product Lot screen. Lot is yielded into inventory, but the Origination Date, Expiration Date, and Hold Date are still blank.

Note that this works correctly if you create the lot at the time of transacting (if you have not first entered a pending product lot record), or if you have not specified a default Yield Subinventory and have to type in the subinventory when you transact.

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create item that is controlled, and have the Lot Expiration Control set to Shelf Life Days and shelf life and hold days entered. Ensure that there is a default Yield Subinventory set up for the item on the Organization Items form, Process Manufacturing tab.
2. Create a formula and recipe with this item as the product, with the Yield Type set to Manual.
3. Create pending batch with the Manual Yield product.
4. Enter pending product lot info. Lot record is created without origination, expiration, or hold dates, as expected since inventory has not yet been yielded.
5. Release the batch.
6. Click on Transactions and transact the lot that had been entered on Pending Product Lot screen.  Lot is yielded into inventory, but the Origination Date, Expiration Date, and Hold Date are still blank.
