R12: Payables Create Accounting Fails with 95339/95304 'Summary Accounts Cannot Be Used For Subledger Journal Entries' (Doc ID 567875.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to raise an invoice in Payables, the create accounting program shows the following warning:

ERROR/WARNING
95304 The account code combination ( &code combination) for line 1 does not allow posting. Using the GL Accounts form, please enable the Allow Posting option for this account code combination or update the account derivation rule for the application accounting definition Encumbrance Accrual so that it does not use this account.
95339 The account code combination ( &code combination) used on line 1 is a summary account. Summary accounts cannot be used for subledger journal entries. Please review the account derivation rule used to create the journal entry line.

- the code combination is not defined as summary
- attempting to query for the code combination in GL - it does not exist
- dynamic insertion is allowed
