Symptoms

When attempting to run an ASCP Plan, MSCMON errors as follows:

MSCMON: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/mnt/FileSystem-PWSShare01/vvg/fs1/EBSapps/appl/msc/12.0.0/bin/MSCMON
Program exited with status 127

OR

The Memory-Based Snapshot - MSCNSP errors with the following:

MSCNSP: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/d02/oracle/ERPCRP/apps/apps_st/appl/msc/12.0.0/bin/MSCNSP
Program exited with status 127


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. ASCP (R) / Supply Chain Plan / Launch Plan
2. Memory Based Snapshot or Snapshot Monitor fails with status 127 in log file.

 

Also seen for MSCPRG program in 12.1.3 on Platform:Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.3,

libstdc++-libc6.2-s.so.3 is missing because customer did not install compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-144.0.2.el7.i686 listed in <Note 761566.1>
