MSCNSP Memory Based Snapshot error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5 status 127 (Doc ID 577281.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run an ASCP Plan, the Memory-Based Snapshot - MSCNSP errors with the following:

ERROR

MSCNSP: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory
/d02/oracle/ERPCRP/apps/apps_st/appl/msc/12.0.0/bin/MSCNSP
Program exited with status 127


STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install Apps R12
2. Implement ASCP
3. Launch ASCP Plan
4. MBP Snapshot fails with status 127 in log file.

 

The same issue was encountered for:

12.1.3, Plantform:Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 7.3,
When running MSCPRG, following error happens.

MSCPRG: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-s.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

------------

libstdc++-libc6.2-s.so.3 is missing because customer did not install compat-libstdc++-296-2.96-144.0.2.el7.i686 listed in Note 761566.1.
