When attempting to run Create Accounting receive error: XLA_AE_HEADER_PKG.InsertHeaders.ORA-000001:Unique Constraint (XLA.XLA_AE_HEADERS_GT_U1) violated (Doc ID 602638.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Cost Management - Version 12.0.0 to 12.0.6 [Release 12]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When attempting to run Create Accounting - Cost Management the following occurs:
Users are using CST_XLA_PVT.INV_ORG_POLICY so that SLA accounting should be by Inventory organization.
Run SLA in M01 organization so it should be only using the M01 transactions which have company 1000 as segment1. The FND_LOG has references to company 1255 which is M01 Inventory organization. So the Accounting Program doesn't seem to be respecting the security policy.

An internal error occurred. Please inform your system administrator or support representative that:

An internal error has occurred in the program XLA_AE_HEADER_PKG.InsertHeaders. ORA-00001:
unique constraint (XLA.XLA_AE_HEADERS_GT_U1) violated.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Responsibility: Cost Management - SLA
2. Using SLA to override Segment1 (Company) and Segment4(Account) and Segment5(Sub-Account).
3. Submit Request: Create Accounting - Cost Management
4. Request spawns Accounting Program. The Account Program errors with internal error above.
