This document relates to Segregation of Duties Constraints data delivered with Oracle Financials Software Updates, Release 12.1. Use this document for information about how to install, implement, and use this functional upgrade in Release 12 .

Internal Controls Manager (ICM) offers a functionality called Segregation of Duties (SOD) which is used to flag violations when a particular user holds incompatible sets of function/responsibility. For example, the user who holds the Journal Authorization Limits function should not hold any of the Journal Entry and Import functions. The incompatible functions/responsibilities are defined as Constraints in ICM.

Further details are available in the Oracle Internal Controls Manager Implementation Guide available on the Documentation Library CD or the latest version from the Oracle Applications Online Documentation CD.
