Goal
The Oracle General Ledger User’s Guide states the following
You must check the Display check box for each segment. The Accounting Flexfield requires that all segments be displayed. Hiding segments will adversely affect your application features, such as MassAllocations.
You must check the Required check box for each segment.
You must check the Required check box for each segment.
On occasions this has been ignored and the Accounting Flexfield defined with segments which have not had the Required and Displayed Check Boxes checked.
This may have created Code Combinations with NULL segment values; these can cause errors or incorrect handling in unpredictable places. (See examples below)
The scripts below will show if there are Code Combinations with missing segment values.
