Last updated on JANUARY 16, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Order Management - Version 11.5.10.2 to 11.5.10.3 [Release 11.5.10]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
A Defaulting Rule is setup for the SUBINVENTORY field to default to a value depending on
what Inventory item is chosen. The defaulting rule is working for top level items/lines, however if the lines are part of an ATO model then the value seems to cascade from the top level item and the defaulting rule is ignored.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create a defaulting rule on SUBINVENTORY field using a PL/SQL Package.
2. Create an order and enter lines for an ATO.
3. Top level item defaults the correct SUBINVENTORY

4. When the child items are generated they hold the same value as the top level item. The defaulting rule seems to be ignored.
