Symptoms
An employee can have a supervisor who has a start date which is later than the employee.
The following error is only thrown upon updating the assignment with another supervisor who started after the employee.
APP-PAY-07599: Supervisor is not valid for the duration of the assignment.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
The above error should be raised as soon as the first supervisor was assigned to the employee.
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to the Applications.
2. Choose an HRMS responsibility.
3. N-> People-> Enter and Maintain.
4. Create an employee.
5. Create another employee with a start date later than the previous employee.
6. Query back the first employee.
7. Go to Assignments.
8. Set the supervisor to be the second employee.
9. Save.
