Output Post Processor Fails Due To java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: OutOfMemoryError, MEM_ERROR in deflate_init2 (Doc ID 734488.1)

Symptoms

Certain XML Publisher related reports are failing though rerunning the same job makes it complete successfully and generates the expected output file.

The concurrent request log file of a failed job shows the following error:

The Output Post Processor log file can be determine as per the instructions from <note 364547.1>  Troubleshooting Oracle XML Publisher for Oracle Applications 11i. Within this log file the following error is found:
