Flexible Commodity Qualifier Remains Unknown For Customized Manager Layout (Doc ID 735486.1)

Last updated on MAY 06, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version 5.5.04 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a customized Manager Layout is used that has removed fields from the Ship Unit grid (e.g. Gross Weight), the Flexible Commodity Qualifier setting is not resolving to the setting previously selected.

For example, this can occur when an order release that has a Flexible Commodity Qualifier set to NMFC_CLASS, is copied. If you try to view the NFMC_CLASS on the copied Order Release, it is not found as the system is not currently aware that this is an NMFC.

1. Select an Order Release that has a Flexible Commodity Qualifier set on the Ship Unit.
2. Action -> Copy Order Release.
3. Go to SHIP UNIT tab.
4. Edit the Ship Unit (click the pencil).

Notice that the Commodity Code is displayed.

5. If you click on the "v" icon next to the Commodity Code, you get the following message:
