Symptoms
On 12.0.4 in Production:
When testing models in Config Developer, the performance starts degrading and following error is seen
ERROR
500 Internal Server Error
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error Date: Mon, 1 Jan 20XX 00:00:00 GMT Server:
Oracle-Application-Server-10g/10.1.3.0.0 Oracle-HTTP-Server Connection: close
Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request
STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login with Oracle Configurator Administrator responsibility
2. Select Configurator Developer
3. Expand the appropriate folder
4. Unlock the model exhibiting the problem, then lock
7. Select edit icon
8. Select User Interface link
9. Expand the UI
10. Expand all the sub elements
11. Encounter error
