Applies to:

Oracle Self-Service Human Resources - Version 12.0.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On 12.0.4 in Production:

Custom workflow process has been created for Absences.

When a user is part way through creating an absence, and then hits the cancel button, returns to the absence summary page, then clicks create again and follows through to submitting the absence - then the seeded workflow process is initated instead of the custom one.

Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a Copy of the Self Service Generic Approval Process [HR_GENERIC_APPROVAL_PRC]
  2. Define menu function to call the newly created Copy
  3. Add to Employee Self Service menu (and corresponding menus as needed)
  4. Go to ESS > Custom Leave Menu Item
  5. Absence Summary Page is displayed
  6. Click Create Absence
  7. Enter details
  8. Click Cancel
  9. When Prompted click Yes to cancel absence
  10. Back in Summary Page
  11. Click create Absence
  12. Enter Absence Details
  13. Click Next
  14. Click Submit
  15. Check workflow process initiated - seeded one has been used instead of custom one
