How To Restrict Access To Internal Responsibilities For iSupplier Portal External Vendor Users (Doc ID 742217.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle iSupplier Portal - Version 11.5.10 to 11.5.10 [Release 11.5]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Is it possible to restrict access to Internal responsibilities (which are not marked as External responsibilities) for supplier user accounts? Can this be done utilizing Security attributes at
Responsibility and user level or some other way?

Example:

1.  Setup a user account for an external vendor user from "Supplier user Administrator" Responsibility

2.  Assign an External Responsibility to that Supplier user

3.  As System Administrator add additional internal responsibilities to the above created Vendor user account using the FND_USER screen.

4.  Login as the supplier user.  Choose the Internal Responsibility and the supplier user is able to use
this internal responsibility.  The supplier user is not restricted by securing attribute ICX_SUPPLIER_ORG_ID

Users expect there should be a restriction from being able to add the internal responsibilities to external Supplier users on the FND User form, but there is no such restriction.
