The Updatable Flag Is Checked In Instance Statuses, But The Install Base (IB) Record Is Not Updatable (Doc ID 743738.1)

Goal

User has defined an IB Sub Transaction type for transaction type RMA Receipt. The Status entered in the Source Info area for this IB Sub Transaction type has been defined as UPDATABLE in the Instance Statuses form. When the RMA Receipt transaction was processed the the Item Instance in Install Base was updated with the new status but the user still can not update the item Instance.  Why is this happening?
