Why Do Distributions for a Cleared Receipt Show UNAPP Lines in XLA & GL Tables But Not in AR_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL? (Doc ID 753176.1)

Last updated on JULY 30, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Receivables - Version 12.0.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

ARACCPB - Submit Accounting
FORM:ARXRWMAI.FMB - Receipts

Goal

Why does cleared receipt in GL and the line count differ than what is showing in AR?

Review of ar_distributions_all shows 2 lines for the clear entry:

AR_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL

SOURCE_TABLE SOURCE_TYPE CCID AMOUNT_DR AMOUNT_CR
CRH CASH 2279 3000
CRH REMITTANCE 2279   3000

Review of XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS and XLA_AE_LINES and GL_JE_LINES shows 4 lines:

XLA_DISTRIBUTION_LINKS

ACCOUNTING_LINE_CODE UNROUNDED_ENTERED_DR UNROUNDED_ENTERED_CR
RCT_CASH 3000
RCT_REMIT   3000
RCT_UNAPP_DEBIT   3000
RCT_UNAPP_DEBIT 3000

Last 2 rows above are in question.

XLA_AE_LINES

CCID ACCOUNTING_CLASS_CODE ENTERED_DR ENTERED_CR
2279 CASH 3000
2279 REMITTANCE   3000
2448 UNAPP 0

Last row above is in question.

GL_JE_LINES

CCID ENTERED_DR ENTERED_CR
2279 8000
2279   8000
2448 0

The last row above is a zero dollar unapp row but why does this zero dollar UNAPP row exist? It isn't in AR_DISTRIBUTIONS_ALL.
