'Acrobat could not open BENSSCNF.pdf' Error When Attempting to Generate the Benefits Confirmation Statement from Self-Service (Doc ID 753268.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to generate and open the Benefits Confirmation Statement, the following error occurs:

Acrobat could not open 'BENSSCNF-<xxxxxxxxxx>_out[1].pdf"
because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged
(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
