Symptoms
Running a report that is using a display set to filter / hide a specific column of data.
When run either through the application ( Reports/Request/Financial) or through Report Manager, and the output type selected is XML, the display set appears to be ignored.
- In the application - if output type selected is XML, no output is received.
- In the application - if the output type selected is text, the report and display set work fine,
and the report is obtained, with the appropriate columns hidden.
- In Report Manager - if output type selected is XML, - Report Manager always used XML, for output type excel, pdf or html.
Therefore this will never work, i.e. columns of data that are supposed to be hidden are displayed (not hidden).
