Error Attempting To Delete An Existing User And Creating The User Again

This problem can occur on any platform.
On 5.5.05, When attempting to delete an existing user, the user gets deleted from the Database but an exception occurs. In addition to this, when the same user is attempted to be added, there is a different error that occurs
2008-11-28 12:02:10.655 0 Error Exception java.lang.NullPointerException
The above is the error when deleting the user
Could not update user info for user <USER ID>
Could not update user amounts for user <USER ID>
Write_Record_Failure (cachedUser=<USER ID>/null/ADMIN, class=class
glog.ejb.invoice.InvoiceSigningAuthorityServerSideEJBWrapper, currentUserName=<USER ID>,
primaryContext=<USER ID>, vpdUser=<USER ID>/<USER ID>/ADMIN)
The above is the error when re-adding the user
-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Delete an existing user and see that the user is deleted in the database. But an exception occurs
2. Try to add the user again and see that there are other exceptions thrown
