Depot Repair: Creation Of Repair Orders With The Same Serial Number Is Allowed (Doc ID 779036.1)

Oracle Depot Repair allows the creation of Repair Orders (RO) with the same serial number, even if the RO are in an "Open" or "On Hold" status.

This problem has some consequences:
a) It is possible to open two or more RO with an "Open" or "On Hold" status in the same Service Request, with the same Serial Number.
b) It is possible to open two or more RO with an "Open" or "On Hold" status in different Service Requests, with the same Serial Number.
c) If you receive one of the Repair Orders using the Logistics tab, you cannot receive the other one. This is correct considering the concept of Serial Numbers in INV. Unfortunately as a consequence, you must manually cancel the the other RO, which potential results in a loss of time and work.
