Repair Order-Logistics Lines Error: 'Service activity selected for the logistic line is not defined for the item's billing type'

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Logged in with responsibility with Operating Unit (OU) A, when attempting to create logistics lines for repair of item that has a different OU assigned in the installed base as the 'Sold From'.
The following error occurs:
Expect to be able to select Service Activity Code in Logistics Lines.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log in to the Oracle Applications using a suitable responsibility (e.g. Depot Repair Super User)
The 'MO: Default Operating Unit' system profile is set to OU' A'.
The 'Sold From OU' for installed base item in SR/Repair Order is OU 'B'.
2. Attempt to create logistics line (and select the Service Activity Code) and get error.
