Symptoms

You have the following setup:

  1. One Ledger - LEDGER ONE
  2. Associated with this ledger you have Two Legal Entities - LEGAL ENTITY ONE and LEGAL ENTITY TWO
  3. To LEGAL ENTITY ONE, user has the following Balancing Segment Value Assignments setup:
    •     Value Set is COMPANY_VALUE_SET
    •     BSV's values added are: 100, 110, 120
  4. To LEGAL ENTITY TWO, user has the following Balancing Segment Value Assignments setup:
    •     Value Set is COMPANY_VALUE_SET
    •     BSV's values added are: 200, 210, 220 
  5. The company segment in the chart of accounts,  which uses the value set COMPANY_VALUE_SET, has the following valid values 100, 110, 120, 200, 210, 220, 300, 310, 320.
  6. User created a Data Access Set with the Access Set Type: Balancing Segment Value 
    • Ledger: LEDGER  ONE
    • BSV Specific Value : 100 
    • Read Write access

When entering data for the accounting flexfield in the journal entry form,  the user expects only the value 100 to show at the COMPANY prompt (first segment of the accounting flexfield).

Instead all valid values for company - 100, 110, 120, 200, 210, 220, 300, 310, 320 are visible in the Company LOV.
