Expense Data Rule Does Not Work With Mileage Expense Type, Attendees Fields Not Displayed

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:
On 12.0.5 in Production:
Find that cannot use an expense type date rule (to display attendee or recipient name field) in
conjunction with a mileage policy schedule.

When entering a mileage expense report item, the attendee/recipient name field do not display in
the details page.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Expect the attendee/recipient name field to appear in the Details page for Mileage items.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Internet Expenses Setup
Policy > Mileage > Create new schedule
Create mileage policy with rate per passenger 0,095
2. Policy > Expense fields > Expense types
Define rule
Rule Name Carpooling
Employee is a required attendee or recipient

Non-Employee Data
Attendee or Recipient Name Required


3. Payables > Setup > Invoice > Expense report template
Attach the rule and the schedule to a mileage expense report template item.

4. Internet Expenses > Create Expense Report > Details page
Number of Passengers field appears but application does not prompt to enter passenger names.
(There is no passenger name / attendee/ recipient name field displayed)

Due to this issue, employees are not prompted to/cannot record the name of passengers when
claiming the mileage allowance for passengers
