Cannot Update Person Attribute Fields For Existing Contacts With Marketing List Import (Doc ID 782559.1)

Symptoms

Cannot update person attribute fields for existing contact through List import.

Importing new organization and new contact with address, email, phone and person attribute fields with list import to view the person attribute fields in the Person Information flexfield in Telesales eBusiness Center > Person Tab.  The first time the import correctly populates the person information flexfield in Telesales, however when trying to import the file a second time with updated person attribute fields the record is not updated in TCA.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Setup Person Information flexfield to appear in Telesales eBusiness Center under Person Tab
    • (R) System Administrator
    • (N) Application > Flexfields > Descriptive > Segments
    • Query Flexfield, Application: Receivables Title:Person Information
    • Setup attribute 1 = License, Attribute 2 = Exp Date
    • Save & Compile
  2. Import Organizations, Contacts, Addresses list in marketing with org name, person name, email,
    address, phone and person attribute details.
    • (R) Marketing Super User
    • (N) Audience Workbench > Audience Dashboard > Import
    • Click Create (B)
    • Select Organizations, Contacts, Org
    • Enter name, select csv file
    • Map
      • address->Address1
      • city->City
      • country->Country
      • email->Email Address
      • exp date->Person Attribute2
      • license number->Person Attribute1
      • name->Person First Name
      • name2->Person Last Name
      • org name->Organization Name
      • phone area code->Phone Area Code
      • phone country code->Phone Country Code
      • phone number->Phone Number
      • state->State
      • zip->Postal Code
    • Click record update flag
    • Click import (B)
  3. Check person record in Telesales
    • (R) Telesales Agent
    • (N) eBusiness Center
    • Query Party relationship org
    • Click on Person Tab
    • Click to open person flexfield
    • Person attributes for flexfield appear correctly as blank for attributes setup (License and Exp
      date)
  4. Import csv file again with updated person attribute fields
    • (R) Marketing
    • (N) Audience Workbench > Audience Dashboard > Import
    • Click Create (B)
    • Select Organizations, Contacts, Org
    • Enter name, select csv file
    • Map fields as in step 2
    • Click record update flag
    • Click import (B)
  5. Check person record in Telesales
    • (R) Telesales Agent
    • (N) eBusiness Center
    • Query Party relationship org
    • Click on Person Tab
    • Click to open person flexfield
    • Person attributes for flexfield have not been updated and appear as blank for License and Exp date
