GLPPOS Posting with Advisory Level Funds Checking Throws Error 12 - Funds Reservation Failed (Doc ID 785472.1)

Symptoms

Advisory level funds checking has been set up properly. Attempting to post journals that require funds checking fails.

The batch on journal entry form (GLXJEENT) shows status: Error 12 - Funds reservation failed

The posting log file shows no reason for failure:

GLPPOS module: Posting
Concurrent program returned no reason for failure.

The Posting Execution Report shows many lines in 'Funds Reservation Failures and Warnings' area:

Failure/Warning:  This transaction fails funds check; advisory checking is in force
