Report Parameter Input Changes from XID to GID (Doc ID 786878.1)

Last updated on JULY 09, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: to
This problem can occur on any platform.

-- Problem Statement:

After installing 5.5 CU5 RU2 or RU3, it is noticed that when running Reports whose parameters include a specific GID (selected by a finder), they are now failing to return any data for any custom reports (note: standard reports work fine).

For example, in analyzing one of the standard reports in CU5, the following is found:

:P_L_SHIPMENT_ID := 'rpt_general.f_remove_domain(SHIPMENT_GID)'||get_filter_condition(:P_L_SHIPMENT_ID ) ;

A similar entry in the 5.5 CU3 reports is as follows:

:P_L_INVOICE_ID := 'INVOICE_GID'||get_filter_condition( :P_L_INVOICE_ID ) ;

Notice that input to the CU5 version is a GID (with domain stripped), whereas input in CU3 is an XID. Because of this, all custom reports have been coded the CU3 way and failing to return any results.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
1. Run a custom Report that was created in an earlier version that is based on a specific GID
(selected by a finder).
