Symptoms

Error

“Unable to lock the record, Cause: The record is being modified by another user”.

This issue happens in many circumstances in Service: Also manifest in freeze with Gantt  Chart, Task tab...

e.g. When attempting to update a task on a service request.

Workaround consist of killing lock on table if found but this works some time only.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Log into Apps> Responsibility Customer Support ( R) >
2. (N) Find/View Service Request > Select Service Request Number
3. Put SR Number and Click on Search > Click on Tasks
4. Try to Update the Task (Any Field), Error Comes up.
Error message: “Unable to lock the record,
Cause: The record is being modified by another user”.
