R12 Asset Workbench (FAXASSET): QuickAdditions Errors With 'Please choose an existing combination' And 'FRM-41106' Before Saving The Asset (Doc ID 789396.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add any asset in the Asset Workbench via QuickAdditions, many misleading error messages are encountered before the asset is finally saved .

ERROR
Please choose an existing combination
FRM-41106 You cannot create records without a parent record
APP-FND-01238 Cannot set value for field ADDITION_BOOKS.LAST_UPDATE_DATE
APP-FND-01238 Cannot set value for field ADDITION_BOOKS.LAST_UPDATED_BY
APP-FND-01238 Cannot set value for field ADDITION_BOOKS.LAST_UPDATE_LOGIN

-- Steps To Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Connect to an FA responsibility
2. Navigate to Assets > Asset workbench
3. Add new asset via QuickAdditions

Furthermore, it is impossible to add any asset via detailed addition as first error prohibits moving to Book window.
