Symptoms

Notifications are not being sent and following error is in the Workflow Mailer Service (WFMLRSVC) log:

oracle. apps.fnd.wf.mailer.NotificationFormatter.getFormattedMessages()]:Problem getting the HTML content -> oracle.apps.fnd.wf.mailer.NotificationFormatter$FormatterSAXException: Problem obtaining the HTML content -> oracle.apps.fnd.wf.common.HTTPClientException: Unable to invoke method HTTPClient.HTTPResponse.listHeaders caused by: java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

One is using a load balancer and/or ssl accelerator with Siteminder security software. Siteminder provides enterprises with a centralized security infrastructure for managing user authentication and access to e-business Web sites.
