Can Not Eliminate Elements from the TransmissionReport XML Using an Out XML Profile (Doc ID 795533.1)

Last updated on JULY 09, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 5.5 to 6.0
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:

An Out XML Profile is configured in an attempt to remove one or more elements (e.g. "IMessageText") from the TransmissionReport that is sent from the processing of an Inbound Integration XML.

As an example, the Out XML Profile is configured as a MAX with the exclusion of the element:
 /IntegrationLogMessage/MessageText

OR, a MIN Out XML Profile was attempted by not including the element
 /IntegrationLogMessage/MessageText

When the TransmissionReport is received, it is always including the elements (e.g. "IMessageText") regardless of the Out XML Profile configuration.

-- Steps To Reproduce:
1. Create a Contact that will be assigned to the inbound XML in the TransmissionHeader to receive the the TransmisssionReport
2. Create an External System that is assigned to this Contact
3. Create an Out XML Profile that is assigned to this External System for the element
4. Send an Inbound XML Transmission.

The TransmissionReport received still includes the eliminated element.
