Goal
How to identify, that the DB in an EBS Environment is running out of resources, like reaching the limits of connections ?
Some symptoms are :
- In the Concurrent Request logfile is an error 'Error connecting to database <SID> : ORA-12537' reported
- The logon to an EBS Instance is reporting a connection failure like APP-FND-1516
- The alert.log of the DB reports excessive number of processes dying, failure to create a process and unable to spawn a process.
Bouncing the Web Server appears to eliminate the issue temporarily. Users continue to encounter the same problem with requests after bouncing the Concurrent Manager.
