Symptoms

When a foreign currency journal is created and both the conversion rate and the entered amounts are very small, then Intercompany journal lines are not created.

To review the lines created run the following sql:-  

SUM(ENT_DR) SUM(ENT_CR) SUM(ACCT_DR) SUM(ACCT_CR) LEDGER_ID  PERIOD    JE_HEADER_ID 
      0.04         0.04        0.02          0.02      NNNN  YYYY-MM     12345 
      0.02         0.02        0.02          0.02      NNNN  YYYY-MM     12345

The conversion rate is 0.0000NNNNNNNNNNNNN

When the journal is posted it has the following in the log file :-
PPOS0247: There are no intercompany or intracompany journals that require balancing.
All selected batches were not successfully posted.
Please review the output file.

The Posting Validation Report shows:- Unbalanced intercompany journal entry.

The online form shows that the journal failed to post due to :- Error10 - Showing unbalanced intercompany journal entry
