RMA : Cannot Change Dates On Non-Shippable Charge Lines After Booked (Doc ID 805588.1)

Symptoms


In Release 11.5.10.2 you are finding that the Schedule Ship Date can not be updated for a RMA non-shippable charge line after the sales order is booked.

The following error occurs:

Cannot perform scheduling function because line is fulfilled


You have been able to do this in the past, but after applying some OM update patches the above error has started to appear.


Due to this issue, users cannot change the schedule ship date after booking and are unable to
process credit memos because they cannot net off the restocking fees.

Your desired way of working is :
- the scheduled date is entered when the returned goods order is taken.
- you enter the current date on the sales order line, book the order, then remove the dates on the RMA lines since you do not know when the customer will ship them in.
- once the customer returns the goods and they are received, you remove the RMA hold from the return lines and add the current date as the scheduled date.
- you then change any restock charge lines to the current date so they match and net on the invoice.

You can no longer make that date match the credit lines.
